It is a country of talented, creative and inventive people, where everyone counts, no matter what their background. We pride ourselves in the rich diversity of our population, which has given us the vibrant, successful economy we have today.
As Prime Minister I look forward to working closely with the Commonwealth, as I did as Chancellor of the Exchequer. I also look forward to exploring, with my fellow Heads of Government, ways of tackling the pressing issues of the 21st century, such as climate change and radicalisation. And I am keen to work with the family of Commonwealth nations for stability and peace world-wide.
