Media and Communications State-run Radio Mozambique operates the national network Antena Nacional, as well as provincial and local channels in Portuguese, English and many indigenous languages. The major private networks are Radio Miramar, Nove FM, Radio-Televisao Klint (RTK) and Radio Maria Mozambique, which is a Roman Catholic station. Telecomunicações de Moçambique (TDM) is the principal telecom provider and the sole supplier of basic services. MCell is the mobile operator, owned by Telecomunicações Móveis de Moçambique (TMM), which is a joint venture between TDM (76%) and Detecon (24%), the consultancy arm of Deutsche Telekom. The University Eduardo Mondlane (UEM) operates the largest internet service while the other main internet provider is Teledata, a joint venture company between TDM and Marconi Portugal (Telecom de Portugal). Art and Culture Music and dance are an integral part of their culture with heavy Portuguese influences. A very popular form of music is the Marrabenta which is a kind of dance music while other forms include Lusophone music like fado, samba, bossa nova and maxixe. Portuguese is the official language. Many local African languages, such as Tsonga, Sena Nyanja, Makonde and Macua, are also spoken. The primary religion is Christianity (mainly Roman Catholic) followed by Islam and Hinduism while many also follow traditional beliefs.
