We, the people of the Maldives, are proud to be a member of the Commonwealth family of nations, a grouping that draws its strength from its diversity and unity of shared values, such as commitment to peace, democracy and human rights, and a firm determination to cooperate with each other in a spirit of solidarity.
Maldivians have greatly benefited from being part of the Commonwealth network over the years, and we feel stronger knowing that we will continue to do so in the future.
