Vision

To be the Government's premier information management and public relations agency, advocate of the nation's agenda, generator and disseminator of information that is sound, accurate and up-to-date to Malaysian citizens as well as international.

Mission

Championing and upholding the Government's and nation's sovereignity through the Malaysian people's understanding and commitment by way of information disseminated by official media.

Function

Planning, implementing, coordinate and reassess information policy and programme aimed to increase public acceptance for Vision 2020 and planning, implementing and coordinate management services and delivery system.

Objectives

• Delivery and dissemination of Government's official information
• Management of the mass media and Government information;
• Evaluation and approval of the Government's promotional materials and messages;
• Evaluation and approval of radio and TV commercials for broadcast on Government-owned stations;
• Determining the parties that would represent the Government's interests in the provision of broadcasting services and facilities; and
• Planning, implementing, evaluating and determining the effectiveness of information dissemination strategies based on scientific research and systematic studies.
