There are many research and consultancy organisations based in Nairobi. Typical lines in consultancy are in financial services, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism and government. As well as business and government organisations, clients include the many international organisations based in Nairobi. The Kenyan Agricultural Research Institute, with HQ in Nairobi and 22 research centres across the country, and the NGO African Centre for Clinical Trials, undertake scientific research.
